Yeah, I did post this on Facebook, but just wanted to post a few here too, just in case. Not everyone is on Facebook, but I can’t imagine I have anyone reading this blog that isn’t :)

I asked Jim to drive me to the coast, I wanted to take pictures of some of the historic bridges near Florence, Oregon and he was a real trooper. I planned out which ones to visit and of course made sure that we were near Mo’s for dinner. It was an early dinner, and then we hit the road to take the pictures.

I have new software that takes 3 pictures, merges them together and makes a better picture out of them. They are taken at different brackets so one is under exposed, one is normal and one is over exposed. This process is called HDR. Then, I used the same software to play with the final results, giving them different looks. It’s fun, it’s artistic, it’s just one more way to share.

So here are a few of the pictures I took, of course there are more on FB.

It was a fun day, a longer day, but the drive was beautiful, and came home to an almost full moon. Thanks Jim for the chance to practice more on my photography!

I was bored, well, not so much, but I just wanted to get up and move around so I started walking and looking at the flowers that were growing along the train track near Davis Cabinets.  where we were getting some work done on the RV. I noticed a lot of wild sweet peas growing and there were a lot  of bees buzzing, so decided I needed to try and get a few pictures. Practice, practice, practice!

So here are a few of the pictures I took:

More RV updates coming and also a brief (do I know what that word means?) description of our travel plans for the rest of the summer!

So far so good… no issues with the engine maintenance that 10 gallons of oil can’t fix 😉 yes, gallons! The RV spent the day at Cummins in Coburg, OR getting all of the oil changed and normal maintenance done on the engine, transmission & generator. Cummins had great Wi-Fi access, so I worked from either the customer lounge or from my car if I was going to be too noisy with meetings. Jim had to share with me once the work was done that while working on the engine, the guys found a very large rat that had seen better days. Yeeewwww.

The next day, we headed over to Davis Cabinets, we are getting new electronics for watching TV. To get new electronics,  they will also have to do some changes to the cabinets. This is our third trip here to Davis since about 2004, they put in our great PC work spaces, then the next time was electronic upgrades (similar to this trip, but the original was a lot of cabinet work, this time, just retro fitting). Once again, new satellite dish, receiver, sound system, and TV’s (front & back).

I can’t believe the difference in the TV’s! We went from Sharp Aquos LCD to Samsung & LG LED TV’s. Much better HD, front TV from a 37″ to 40″, back TV (that we had upgraded ourselves from a 19″ to a 22″) is now a 27″. Keeping up with the Jones’s we are :) We do watch a LOT of movies, so it is pretty sweet, also got a new 3D Blu-ray player, don’t think the TV is, but would be interesting to try 😉

it’s amazing how much detritus one ends up with and has to be taken away when you do this kind of upgrade. Here are a few shots of the old, the in-between and the new:
